Machining centers
A machining center is an automated machine capable of performing multiple machining operations in a CNC facility with minimal human intervention. Typical operations are those using rotary cutting tools such as cutters and drills. This machining system is noted for its production speed as an advantage.
Machining centers are available in a wide variety of sizes, types, functions and degrees of automation. Their power ratings go up to 75kW and the spindle speeds of the most commonly used machines are limited to 4000-8000 rpm. Some tilting tables are capable of supporting workpieces weighing more than 7000 kg.
